Sarah E. Travis-Hlatshwayo (SETH) is the
Founder, Owner and Chief Strategist of SETH Global
With more than 10+ years of experience in the tech, public, private and non-profit sectors, Sarah offers fresh perspectives and best practices for the effective and efficient implementation of international democracy support and tech policy programs.
Before founding SETH Global, Sarah did policy work at Meta (formerly Facebook), supported political parties at the National Democratic Institute, won campaigns with the Democratic Party of Illinois, served constituents at the Illinois House of Representatives and provided services to African immigrants and refugees at the United African Organization.
She has worked globally in 40+ countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean and North America, primarily providing support to political parties.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys sneaker culture, boxing, skateboarding and making lo-fi music.

Donor relations, designing implementation roadmaps, program implementation, budget management, risk management, distilling best practices and lessons learned
Strategy and Priority Setting
Annual priority planning for teams and organizations, ensuring alignment across regional and functional teams, focus groups, designing strategy roadmaps
Inclusive Politics
Incentivize institutions to meaningfully demonstrate principles of inclusion for women, young people, LGBTQI+ communities, ethnic and religious minorities and persons with disbilities.
Proposal Development
Develop programs with US Government and European donor communities, complex monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and technical knowledge of parties, civic organizing and inclusion

In 2023, we launched SETH Global to support democratic institutions worldwide
In a short six months since our founding, we’ve done just that. SETH Global has worked with partners and engaged in critical projects that:
🌈 Strengthen LGBTQI+ political participation and power in political parties worldwide
🏛 Through the Consortium for Electoral and Political Process Strengthening (CEPPS) support USAID, its missions, and implementing partners on strategic approaches to investing in political party work globally
🌍 Empower young political party leaders in Kenya and Zambia on how to advocate for reforms within their organizations
💪 Examine emerging issues to ensure democratic resilience in key regions around the world
We are thrilled to continue this work -- and take on more -- in 2024 and are grateful to our amazing partners who have engaged us since our launch.
